I asked them a question through their website & apparently got on their spam list. It has humor value, plus it's nice to have a heads-up about what idiocy they're planning next. Here's one of their recent packs of lies:

Subject line: Stop Extremism Now
The Brady Center is the first line of defense against the ever-growing extremism of the NRA bosses and the gun lobby. Your financial support is crucial to our success.

This past year, we fought against the NRA's outrageous agenda to:
permit 18 year-olds to legally purchase, own, use, and carry a concealed gun;
push guns on college campuses;
twist the recent Supreme Court rulings to allow "any gun, anywhere, for anyone."

The Brady Center is the largest, and only, gun violence prevention organization fighting for:
justice for gun victims in the courts, like the 10 year-old in Kansas who was shot and killed by his father, a domestic violence abuser who was able to easily purchase a gun illegally from a rogue gun dealer;
Americans who want to walk into Starbucks and anywhere else without the fear of openly armed strangers; and
a stronger Brady background check system.

We saw a new level of extremism this past year — from Sarah Palin and her guns to people protesting in parks with assault weapons strapped to their backs. The NRA's extreme agenda costs lives. Our weak gun laws lead to 100,000 Americans being shot each year.

Do you believe that this country is better off with a policy of "any gun, anywhere, for anyone?" No way!

If you believe in sensible and reasonable restrictions on guns, then make a donation today. Join our fight for a safer, saner America.

So it's 'outrageous' that adults should be allowed to exercise all their civil rights?
And that people should be able effectively to defend themselves wherever they are?

The only people twisting SCOTUS rulings are you, Brady Bunch. (Well, and maybe DC & Chitcago.)

While the child being killed is certainly a tragedy, the father already broke lots of laws, including murder. If he couldn't get a gun he could have used a kitchen knife or a crowbar.

I got the same email alert too. They are trying to legislate us into some crime free, everybody lives happily ever after utopia. Completely detached from reality, these people will try to outlaw anything that poses a potential risk.

And we wonder why people don't exercise greater responsibility? They have some group trying to protect them from everything under the sun.

Wow. It took them all the way to their second sentence before they asked for money, huh? It's nice to know what they really stand for.

Well, at least they got one thing absolutely right: "Americans who want to walk into Starbucks and anywhere else without the fear of openly armed strangers."

Bingo. That's exactly what we want, although the "fear" issue appears to be both limited to the Brady Bunch and their ilk, as well as grossly off-target from where it should be directed i.e. at criminals, while being misdirected towards those of us law-abiding citizens who choose to defend ourselves rather than allowing ourselves to be victims.

It appears the Brady Bunch aren't interested in either reality or crime-reduction. If anything, they only appear to be interested in eliminating guns altogether while making money in the process, regardless of how many lies they have to spin to achieve their goal.

Fortunately, our great nation, the United States of America, wasn't built on lies. It was built on truth, and that's why the Brady Bunch will never be anything more than mediocre twisters of information, disseminators of misinformation, and a group whose sole effort these days appears to be towards a supplemental retirement fund for the misses.

Aren't there only like 3 or 4 people who "work" there?? Or did they move into Sarah's (Brady) basement in between playing CoD or WoW?

CoD: The Brady Campaign - Your are a highly trained anti 2A operator. Armed with an automatic fundraiser weapon, three white flags, and numbers to multiple Grand Cayman Island bank accounts, be prepared to enslave freedom and liberty!

5 out of 5 despots agree, this is the same to beat liberty.

IMO, the Brady bunch doesn't want to get rid of all guns any more than the NRA really wants true 2a freedom. Lobbying is a business, and on such a contentious issue business is good. If they really cared about their respective positions they wouldn't be so willing to 'compromise'.

Let's see... There's Sarah, Jim, Paul, and seven others, for a total of ten, although I doubt more than two of them actually work out of the Brady's basement.

As I said, it's largely a movement for the prevention of Brady impoverishment.
