Far to often we focus on the negative and forget the positive. I want to thank all the stores that respect our right to carry. I thought we could make a list to help anyone new to OC and to show that most stores follow state law and don't have any problems with oc. I believe we should suport those who suport us. I have OC'ed at these places with no problem and they have earned my buisness.

Thank You

I must agree with you Johnny.
I would also add a thanks to Mills Fleet Farm (Germantown) the Menards on Browndeer Road in Milwaukee, and both my local Pick n Saves (Good Hope, and North Green Bay Road). It sure is nice to know that I am welcome as I am, at all of them.
I guess my real show of thanks is the cash I spend, time and time again, at the stores that show me basic respect. I get respect from them, they get money from me... It's a good deal.:)

And thank you to all the stores that exercise your legal right to choose whether you want armed civilians in your stores with perhaps little or no knowledge of the guns they carry. This is America and that is the law.

Frankly I have carried in so many stores in the LaCrosse area that it would take a whole page of posts to list them and have never once been asked to leave or even approached by a manager or employee except for one instance in an actual gun store lol.

Sometimes I wonder if it isn't kooks fooling around with their sidearms, looking shady, or being overtly aggressive that sets off a negative wave. I have even gone so far as to seek out store owners and managers that I know have seen me OC and introduce myself, give them literature and thank them for being pro-carry as was the recent case with the franchise owner of both McDonald's in LaCrosse.

There's a website called Friend or Foe that keeps track of stores support/nonsupport of our rights, but it's pretty empty right now. The tool is there, but we need to add businesses to the database, and so it's largely up to us if we want to use it to make it an awesome tool or a sub-par one like it is now. I entered Menomonie, WI and the only thing it pulled up was Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire. It's also mentioned in the stickied thread for the WI forum, "Stores that infringe upon our rights".

This is an excellent list.
If we get the chance we should try to thank a manager/owner next time we visit one of these places. It doesn't take to much time to say thanks and spread our message, it won't be forgotten.

I'd add to the list, but realistically it's just simpler to add to the stores that infringe on our rights thread. Right before I joined we had threads detailing stores that allowed open carry and it was even grouped into city's and stuff. I'd look for it but my search-foo is not strong.

We have made such progress in the last couple of years that now instead of being happy of where we can carry, we only get excited about where we can't . It seemed not to long ago I'd do a quick search to see if a store I was going to was visited by another carrier and get concerned that I might be the first to test it out but after time I realized it's not a big deal, nobody says anything, rarely are there any signs posted and people just don't care.

The only places I won't carry into even though they are not posted are Marcus theaters (I still go but they are anti-gun and I don't want to be the one they post signs for), Farm & Fleet (anti-gun, Just don't shop there), Gun Stores (Most seem anti-carry, I'd ask first) and gas stations (I don't want to freak out an attendant while I load my gun!). Everyplace else I just treat like I wasn't carrying and go about my business and I haven't had a negative encounter yet. The only place that gave me a weird feeling was Kohls department store because it was full of woman and they definitely noticed but looking back I had just gotten off of work and I was dirty and stinky as hell, they probably would have given me dirty looks firearm or not :p.

I've carried at the Subway in Greenfield on 76th and Layton and Greenfield News and Hobby on 68th and Layton. The owner/manager at GNH is a gun supporter.
