C'Mon guys,

After all of the politicians that have gotten elected based on lies and deciet, what makes you think that people like this would be any less dishonest? These are people that have learned that making false statements can get tehm farther than telling the truth.

I personally am very anti gun. I think that people like this should never be allowed to own a gun, and I believe that people like this should never be defended by a gun either, including the firearms used by law enforcement. That way, when they are made to be victems, we can all shake our heads and say "Still think nobody should own a gun?"

And as anti gun as they are, they never take into account the fact that people are also martial artists, and improvised weapons specialists. So we would have to ban all sorts of things above and beyond just the ownership of firearms. Pencils, pens, screwdrivers, maxim magazines, quarters, anything glass, dvd's, hands, feet, elbows, knees, foreheads, bootlaces, piano/guitar strings, lighters, rings, and on and on and on.

The sad truth is that we spend so much time pampering nutjobs like this that when it really comes down to it, we are stopping that old tradition of "Survival of the fittest" and we no longer trample the weak. Welcom to America, Would you like fries with that?

I believe the genteel souls of Great Britain haven't figured that out yet: http://forums.gunsandammo.com/forum...tain-say-glass-pints-lethat-weapon-ban-coming

Here's a little gem.

According to WAVE research, an average of 56 teenagers die of gunshot wounds, and gunfire kills more teenagers than all natural causes combined.

http://badgerherald.com/news/2009/04/22/group_shows_effects_.php

Don't know what the Badger Herald is but that is some sh*t reporting there for sure. Not one bit of evidence offered up to back outrageous claims.

2007 Wi - 256 teen deaths

I see Jeri at her ghoul fest is standing next to WAVE award winner Doug Pettit of the Wisconsin Police Chief Association. The Association will be at the Constitutional Carry legislative hearings wailing "officer safety!...officer safety!....our troops are in danger from the good guys!!"

From WAVE Facebook:

Quote

"For all of us without a criminal history, our risk of being killed by a "bad guy" is quite low. Rather, our risk comes from "the good guys" in our lives (ie. people who -- based on their lack of criminal histories -- would qualify for a CCW permit)."

I'm beginning to think someone needs to be evaluated because this is proof positive that J.B. is NOT living in reality.

I'm thinking her argument is so awkward, it is obviously contrived, thus deliberate.

I don't think she is so much insane, as I am wondering if she is a destructive/anti-social personality who really wants dead or injured defenseless victims.

Her statement now is being quoted by her kool aid drinkers as fact on the Blains Farm and Fleet Facebook page. The old repeat a lie enough...

they go on the belief that if you tell a lie enough times it will eventually become the truth.

Or if not actually become the truth, at least be mistaken for it.
My all-time favorite never-backed-by-any-research and there's-research-showing-the-opposite-to-be-true lie: "loud pipes save lives".

If you want to be loud & anti-social because you enjoy it, just say so. Don't make up 'safety' reasons, 'cause you sure as heck aren't doing anything else that had been shown to contribute to safety & reduce involvement in crashes. (Wearing a helmet, taking a class, driving with your high beam on, wearing bright-colored safety gear...)

Amen to that.

Too funny. One of my all time pet peeves.

Not as much as frilly vests, a bandanna, and the ability to blip the throttle incessantly at EVERY stop light...

"Today, we can all celebrate a victory for common sense, public safety and civility! Yet another court finds that the 2nd Amendment does NOT give people the right to carry guns in public places. (Charles Francis Williams, Jr. v. State of Maryland: Maryland Court of Appeals)"

She should really read the decision. An important part of the decision is that the petitioner lacked standing.

She shouldn't have gotten so excited, living in a state where open carry of firearms IN PUBLIC is an accepted practice (except to certain mayors and police chiefs).

I saw that on the WAVE Facebook page this morning. I would have loved to bring up McDonald vs Chicago, but alas, I cannot speak on her forum since she only allows her side of the story. :(

Here's another gem from one of their supporters...

The story they're talking about:
"The 17 year old son of a police officer, shot and critically injured the prinicipal and vice-principal at his high school, before he shot and killed himself."
Very sad, if actually true. We all know that someone under 18 can't have a gun except under certain circumstances, which I'm sure weren't met here, and can't have a gun at school, and certainly isn't allowed to kill people. So why would they make up this story?

The response from Paul Malchow:
"Maybe we should disarm the police also. Seems they cant secure their weapons."

Which is kind of odd, since Paul seems to be (or at least, want to be?) military.
Of course, he's posted other less-than-nice things before, so maybe he's not someone WAVE really wants to associate with? (Or is this the true face of WAVE, & the general public needs to be made aware?)
"F*** that n*gg**"
"um....wtf, fags"

(Interesting... the OCDO software won't allow the F or N words, but will allow slurs against gays.)
