can someone provide divine guidance in explanation of open carry do's and don'ts.

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. In Florida? Generally, you can only open carry at work or home; while hunting, fishing, or camping - or on your way to or from; or at the range.
Just one add to brboyer's post...the "on the way to or returning from hunting, camping, and fishing" clause does NOT include stops at the Quickie Mart or anything like that as there is no case law establishing how direct the "to or from" has to be.
