I talked to security@ redwind in Yelm, they ARE regulated by the LCB of WA, and they do restrict access to the casino to 21 and above, there is another entrance for under 21 to access non-restricted areas. So it does appear that the entire casino floor is considered a bar under WA law....

They are regulated by the LCB, the LCB designates the bar area as "over 21 only".
The LCB does not designate the entire casino as "over 21 only", the casino does.

RCW 9.41.300(d) Does not ban firearms in "all places that are 21 and up only". It bans firearms in "That portion of an establishment classified by the state liquor control board as off-limits to persons under twenty-one years of age".(my emphasis)

There are Casinos in this state that welcome gamers who are under 21. Clearwater Casino on Bainbridge island is 19 and up to gamble, most of those card rooms on Aurora Ave. in Seattle are 19 to gamble.These establishments have bar areas where the LCB has designated it 21 and over only. The casino still allows those under 21 to come in and gamble.


I mean no disrespect to you or your friend, but I think he misunderstood your question or is misinformed about the law.



Edit: Could you ask your friend if he knows why the LCB designates the entire casino that he works at as 21 and up but when it comes to Clearwater and others they only do so for the bar area?

I could be completely wrong about this but something just is not making sense.

It's the decision of the Casino / Tribe as to what age group is allowed in.

I used to work as security at RWC (old bingo hall) years ago. When I started there, they were just starting to allow 18-20 in (special stamp was required on hand to show they were underage). The whole system was flawed, and LCB was having a field day nailing minors and the casino. I only worked there a few months, but when I was departing the LCB and TGA were talking about going back up to 21+.
