Once again we are having dinner at Lizzy's Green Cafe. Open carry is welcome but certainly not required. Most of us arrive around 6 pm plus or minus 30 minutes but the cafe is open on Friday from 4 PM to 10 PM so drop in, dine and enjoy whenever you wish.

I know I will be there as will McX and Springfield 1911 and probably Oak1971 and the other "usual suspects". :)

If you are new to open carry please join us if you can. If you are uncomfortable with open carry it will be a great experience to learn from. Many of us started open carry after having dinner or breakfast at Lizzy's. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is great and Lizzy and Adam welcome us!

Good luck on the job hunt, going on 24 months for me. Was in school for most of it but I was still looking.

Thanks Much,
I have $700 left to draw from on the last Fed tier of unemployment funds.
That amounts to 2 checks for me.
At least I got the Jeep fixed ( Thank You McX ) so I can chase all over town again.
That is when theres coin to put fuel in the tank.

After the interview I had to chase back and pick up the Problem Child...No sooner walked in the door and hadnt even warmed a cup of coffee and my cell phone was screamin at me.
As luck would have it....it was the Owner of the Shop callin me.
He tells me that he looked over all my Factory Certs and resume one more time and
canceled all the other interviews.

I start next week Wednesday.

Out of the 50 somethin resumes I sent out over the last 3 weeks-a month
I got one "Thanks for Applying" letter and one phone call.
The phone call was from my soon to be boss.

I am glad it came when it did...but things are far from being what they were
before all this crap started.
In fact...I really dont believe that things are getting better. I was just due for some good luck.

Ditto on the good luck. Today marks 6 weeks at my new job, after 21 months without. I feel your pain! Hopefully this one will work out, but if not, something else will - hang in there.

We'll probably be there, 6:45-ish.

After awhile it messes with your mind some.
One can see there is less 18 wheelers goin down the road, and
you see and here things on the news.
You know your not the only one goin thru the crap...but that

Yes, congratulation!

I have received 17 'while you were impressive, we aren't going to hire you' notices/emails/letters so far this week. I have been out of work for almost 11 months.

I'm so glad the recession was over in September, 2009! :banghead:

Congrats! Hopefully I'll get a break here soon.

Thanks,
I had considered using part of my UC funds to go back to school,
problem was even on mac & cheese and ramen the money didnt go far
and there wasnt a skillset, industry or trade that wasnt affected.
If Mickey D's wont hire or even talk to an 18yr old kid...that says somethin

All I can say is hang in there guys. My prayers are with you. As a blue dog Democrat I will never forgive Clinton for selling out the working men and women of this country starting with NAFTA and then trying to buy them off with his no money down housing policy. & then there is his anti-constitutional gun policy, for which I will never forgive the majority of elected Democrats for trying to continue. Sorry for the rant, back to regularly scheduled programming.
