Janet Howell has terrible things to say:

Local Leaders Connect Arizona Shooting to Rising 'Decibel Level of Political Discourse'

And she says here:

The shooting of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona on Saturday was not “unforeseeable,” a Virginia state senator said.

“As the decibel level of political discourse has risen, so does the risk to elected officials,” said state Sen. Janet Howell (D-32) of Reston whose district includes McLean.

...

Howell said she received several threats because of her support for gun control.

She said the state needs to close the so-called “gun show loophole.” The state allows people to buy firearms at gun shows without background checks, which would otherwise be required.

“... I think it is imperative that my constituents understand that the Virginia General Assembly is yielding on every gun issue to a fringe group called the Gun Owners of America. They make the NRA look reasonable,” wrote Howell, who chairs the Virginia Crime Commission.

“Just last year, the Gun Owners of America spearheaded the effort to allow concealed weapons in establishments that serve alcohol. The bill passed and the Governor signed it. No one I know feels safer because people with concealed weapons are allowed in our bars.”

But I thought VCDL "spearheaded the effort" -- it seems she has problems getting things 100% accurate.

I am sorry to report

You can no longer use the word "shooting" when you describe an elected official. The knuckleheads out there might get confused....sheesh.

You are a Damn Liar Janet Howell

It was not the Gun Owners of America (GOA)that pushed the concealed carry in restaurants that seve booze bill. GOA promotes gun rights, not perks for permittees (P4P). There are other groups that work to enhance perks for CHP licensees.

Busted

Janet Howell is a LIAR and she is BUSTED!!!

Quote from the OP's article:

“... I think it is imperative that my constituents understand that the Virginia General Assembly is yielding on every gun issue to a fringe group called the Gun Owners of America. They make the NRA look reasonable,” wrote Howell, who chairs the Virginia Crime Commission.

Take a look at this link from the Virginia LIS site from last year's session:

Senate Courts of Justice "Special" Sub-committee

This sub-committee unilaterally killed the vast majority of more than a dozen pro-RKBA bills that were otherwise headed for the Governor's desk, and they did it in undisputed violation of the Senate rules!

Who was on that sub-committee? None other than Janet Howell.

CAUGHT IN A BIG FAT LIE!!!

Ah yes, more rhetoric spewed by the left. Remeber it was the left that said certain conservative legislation would lead to people showing up with pitch forks(don't recall the D who said it), and Schummer(D-NY) who said that conservative thinkers were trying to move our country backwards. I would just like to quote Sen. Wilson who was ostersized for speaking the truth when he exclaimed "You Lie!" Except for Schummers remarks, yes we're trying to move the country backwards to the ideals which founded this country and which have worked for several hundred years. Not torwards more recent socialist ideals which have failed miserably, or are starting to show their age as in Greece, France, and England. How about the recent reading of the Constitution which two Reps from NY have just contradicted, and are trying to take advantage of a horrible tragedy. Slaughter(D-NY) calling for regulation of free speech on radio, and Mccarthy's(D-NY) idea of adopting legislation to limit magazine capacity. Shame on NY Reps., for thinking they can tell right to carry states what to do when they don't even recognize a persons right to carry in there own state. I urge everyone here to call our states reprsentatives who are Republican and ask that measures to limit capacity federally and limit carry in our own State Assembly building be thrown out, and that people who bring it up be told that they're out of order by those who recognize these efforts for what they are. The exploitation of a horrible tragedy to further their own anti gun veiws. Wake up New Yorkers because the trash being spewed by your Reps, equals that of it collecting in your streets during the recent snow storms.
As always, Sic Semper Tyrannis

It is hilarious to hear Howell calling GOA a "fringe group". I don't know how many members they have, but I bet they have a pretty good list. The last I heard, the famous Brady Campaign had all of 55,000 paying members! LMAO! In a nation of 300 million people they only manage to cadge dues money from such a tiny number of adherents. Compaired to the NRA's 4.5 million members, they are a flyspeck!
