I only lived in Maryland for about 2 years as a teenager. Biggest run in with the law? Being chased through the woods around Loch Raven resevoir for illegal swimming. We did it all the time and laughed at the ranger's chasing us up the hill. Best was when we went down one day and saw a ranger hiding near our swimming spot.

We just went fishing, he accosted us, and my four friends slowly slipped up the hill while he questioned me. I said just fishing, sir. He eventually let me go with strict admonishment not to swim . We swam the next day and did not see him.

Do you really believe this? It's rather silly, but most Americans are not capable of using reason. Are you worried about IEDs on the side of the road? I certainly do not worry about land mines and unexploded ordnance in the park. The comparison is silly and there is no correlation whatsoever between the two.

Actually, you are correct now. It's just earlier in the year, the death toll in PG County WAS higher than the US troop death toll in Afghanistan.

AS to today, there have been 59 Us troops killed in Afghanistan, while only 22 homicides have happened in PG County this year...

I grew up in PG county and still have family there but unless I have to go back for a funeral I have no plans on going back because of the crime rate. When I want to see family I have them come to down to VA and we meet up there.
