Hey Ladies and Gents want to try to put together a gathering for those of us in the Pittsburgh area. Lets start a dialog to have a meeting of OCers in the Burgh. Hit up the thread lets make it happen. IT ONLY TAKES ONE TO HAVE AN IDEA, A FEW TO MAKE IT A STATEMENT, A FOLLOWING TO MAKE THE CHANGE, AND A MOVEMENT TO CHANGE THE WORLD. LETS START THE PITTSBURGH MOVEMENT.!!!!!

I have an idea

How about the Barnes and Noble Cafe at the Waterfront in Homestead. They have pretty good food, plenty of space for a group and Barnes and Noble have a corporate policy about following state law when it comes to allowing firearms in their store. I would recommend Sunday as a good day to meet. If it goes well it could be a monthly thing.

I'd be up for such a meet long as it's not supporting or funding any PA local only firearms groups. I've had particular experiences with one in particular which have mostly trolls, anti-gay bashing, etc.

If you'd like to meet up at a burger place I'd gladly have a chat with one in the area, or perhaps Primanti Bros.

Just whatever you guys do, don't just "show up" as a group, it makes staff go "wtfisthisomgimgoingtodie" when people people are not used to seeing open carry.

I'm in favor for this as long as I have enough time to get ready I'm a single dad and need time to get baby sitter or get kids prepared for being around lots of people ( 3 special needs kids).

How about Superbowl Sunday. We can get together, have some lunch around noon, talk some football, etc etc, everyones home for plenty of pre game hype.

Even though I live in Pittsburgh now...

I still don't like sports/football.

Also, I'll gladly show, but I probably won't be open carrying to the lunch.

Good suggestion Roo. I just got back from Panera's in Monroeville. Had a chat with the manager and they have "no" open carry restrictions policies, pretty much same as Starbuck's. They have a room for private meetings or seating in general public, guess it depends on how many members show up. This site at the Miracle Mile has more than enough parking area. There is another location at Penn Center Blvd, but I'm not sure about that one. Maybe someone can check it out.
