Anyone notice this change in the WI Republican platform?

I emailed them and they just emailed me back.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Republican Party of Wisconsin, in convention assembled, urges the Wisconsin Legislature to adopt legislation permitting law-abiding citizens without a felony record or a record of serious mental health problems to carry concealed weapons;

It appears there was nothing dubious about the oversight. I emailed them last Friday and got a response this a.m..
"Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you go to our site, you will see have made the update."

At least we can point to the GOP platform now and ask our GOP reps why they are not following it in regards to not being required to have permits to CC. Party platforms either mean something or they do not. We shall see which it is.

I got the same email.

Yep, nothing nefarious, no conspiracy.

I emailed both my reps with the link and reminding them of the change.

If we cannot depend on the old GOPers to respect our rights we can put up candidates to challenge them in the primary. The Tea Party's presence in Wisconsin is growing and if we get shafted by the current legislators, we do have an option.

Amen.

Vote every single incumbent out every single election at every level. Political office is not a career. Nor is it the tool of big business.
