    Consider this... the Egyptian government turned off the internet and cell phone networks to "quell civil unrest". How are you going to dial 911 when the looters come if the telephones don't work?

    Hope they police hear my gunfire of protection, but then again at this point they are one in the same in Egypt.

    The US Legislature is working on a bill to create an internet "kill switch" as we speak.

    It looks like Egyptian gun privileges are (surprise!) handed out based on economic class. No long guns and handguns are licensed only to those who prove "need".

    Helmke heaven! There couldn't possibly be a problem there.

    With the technology today, good luck on that one. A "shadow Internet" would be up and running in no time using an ad hoc network of servers connected wirelessly. Information will out.
