I need an answer from someone who really knows. I have a friend that was arrested because his car alarm went off, when he went outside to check the alarm, he brought an uncased, unloaded shotgun. No threats, no noise, oustside 10 seconds to disarm the car alarm and then back in the house. A neighbor reported a man with a gun. HE was arrested, booked, with a court appearance. Is there a law that says you cant carry an unloaded, registered gun, on your own property (In New Jersey)???
