I've been lurking here for a long time, but I signed in to post in this thread. I'm from Maryland, so I don't have a dog in this fight but it made me think.
What a difference between the left and the right. Civil disobedience is harder for us on the right. We have real jobs and responsibilities - families that depend on us - and no huge organization to fund us when we get busted for standing up for our rights. Plus we just tend to obey the law...
Now the average lefty is usually backed by a well organized machine (probably Soros funded) and are usually young and have no responsibilities beyond an occasional shower. It's so easy for them - they have little to lose and are usually more like pawns in the game anyway.
Just kind of thinking out loud, sorry to interrupt...
(My daughter and here husband lived in Madison up until about a year ago - I spent many an hour at the farmer's market. )
