I have a leather holster for my Ruger Redhawk but I prefer a paddle so it can sit out a tad bit more and thus not require me to tuck in my shirt for OC as badly. When I don't tuck my shirt in with a close-to-the-body leather holster it tends to look goofy. Not so much with a paddle holster. Adjustable cant like a Serpa, easy to maintain Kydex, adjustable retention.

I like it a lot! Wish they had one for the Alaskan. Could always make my own but I doubt I will. I tend to never be satisfied with anything I make for myself. :p
