Two men accused of burglarizing an eastern New Orleans house were shot by the resident Friday morning; one of them was killed, according to New Orleans Police.

Police investigate the scene of killing in eastern New Orleans in the 7400 block of Woodbine Street Friday. Two men accused of burglarizing the home were shot by the resident; one of them was killed.
Police were called to 7400 block of Woodbine Drive about 11:30 p.m.
Police said a man who lived inside the house heard a commotion and got up to investigate. He found two men inside his house.
At that point the man armed himself and shot at the alleged burglars, who escaped out of a back window, according to Officer Hilal Williams, NOPD spokeswoman.
One man was pronounced dead on the scene. The second man was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Police can not say whether the men were armed.
No names or other identifying information any of the three men involved has been released.
