Does anyone have any experience with this revolver? Is ist a decent made gun? Is it not worth the $300 new I am looking to buy it for? It is made I believe by the same people who make Bersa. I am thinking of buying one for my mother. She will not be shooting it very much but would like a hammerless 38 revolver to carry. Thanks in advance for any info. FS38R is the model just click on it.

Hmm link no werky...

Let me try this one:

http://www.bersa.com/skin/frontend/blank/theme063/images/media/BersaCatalog.pdf

If that does not work, go to www.bersa.com and click on "Catalog" in the menu, which loads a .pdf of their catalog. Page 10 is where the revolvers are.

The first thing I noticed is this: Manufactured by Armscor. I suggest checking the reliability of Armscor (if I am remembering correctly a Philippine Corporation.) and see how they are. I have not owned Armscor manufactured firearms, but have heard good "bang for the buck" statements about them...

Another suggestion: Go to Armscor's website: http://www.armscor.com.ph/

And look for the models similar/ exact to the one you are looking at from Firestorm (a distributor that re-badges products) and see if the Armscor firearm is less expensive.

EDIT: Ok, I am not seeing a hammerless Armscor from their site, but the looks of the M206 revolver they make is nearly identical, except for the hammer.

Minor point-the revolver does not appear to be hammerless, but has a recessed hammer which will be apparent when the trigger is pulled.

Armscor has earned a pretty good rep amongst budget 1911 folks.
I tried out several ARMSCOR made 1911's myself and liked them a lot.
It could be a serious bang-for-the-buck bargain.
