Iowa Firearms Coalition / NRA has a study bill in also, which removes the permit requirements and makes carry a crime only if there is proveable intent to use the weapon for a criminal purpose, as well as Iowa Gun Owners having a straight-up no permit required bill.

Add New Hampshire to the list. It has an excellent chance of passage.

    Ack!!!!

Don't copy & paste those links into an email!
At least, don't do it for the ones with shortened urls (they have ... in the url).
Those won't open right from an email.
Open the link from this page, then copy & paste the url into your email.
Just found out the hard way myself... glad I checked before sending it, or I'd've looked like a fool.

Not as sad as Wisc not being on the list...

    sigh

    edit:
aw shucks. I guess I shouldn't be so hard on 'em. They did RAM that voter ID thing through! And lord knows we all wanted that one. Less spending, less government, lives saved all the way around on that one!

LISBON — Proposals by Republican state legislators to relax Maine’s gun control laws set the stage for a new political standoff at the State House.

Among the handful of bills expected to set off the biggest firestorm is legislation sponsored by Rep. Dale Crafts, R-Lisbon, that would — among other changes — repeal the requirement for a permit to carry a concealed weapon in Maine.

LD 658, “An Act To Modify the Requirement of a Permit To Carry a Concealed Weapon,” would make Maine’s concealed weapons law “similar to Vermont, Arizona and Alaska law, which basically allows you to carry without a permit
