New Senate Bills Filed as of February. 15, 2010

The Georgia General Assembly Senate has Filed Two New Senate Bills as of February. 15, 2010.

They are, Senate Bill 94 AND Senate Bill 98.

Senate Bill 94 would make Technical Changes to The Current Definition of Weapons and LongGuns under Georgia Code 16-11-125.1. These Changes would Prevent The Current Misnomer as to which Types of Firearms Actually Qualify as Weapons and LongGuns and which Types of Firearms are only Considered Firearms.

Senate Bill 98 Adds Georgia Weapons Carry License Holders as Exempt Persons under Georgia Code 16-11-130, from The Application of Georgia Codes 16-11-126 through 16-11-127.2, with The Exceptions of: CourtHouses, Jails, Prisons, Detention Centers, In or On School Property, or Nuclear Power Plants.

Senate Bill 94 can be Viewed here:

Senate Bill 98 can be Viewed here:

*** If Bobby Franklins Bill, House Bill 55, were to Pass, AND Senate Bill 98 were to Pass, Carrying a Firearm on Post-Secondary School Property would also be LEGAL as well, because; it would no longer be Included under The Definition of School Safety Zones under Sub-Section (1) of Paragraph (a) of Senate Bill 98, New Paragraph (a.1). ***

Senate Bill 102, a Technical Changes Bill, similiar to Senate Bill 94, is NOT a Pro-Firearm or Anti-Firearm Bill, therefore; I Remain Neutral in Regards to Senate Bill 102.
