Open carry is legal as long as you have a permit.

No real "quirky" laws I can think of....

You want to look at this post on another board http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/fi...questions.html

Make sure the sporting event allows firearms, as such events typically do not allow carry.

Our posting laws have recently changed. If it has a gun in a circle with a slash (a "gunbusters" sign) visible at the entry, do not carry there.

As with any traveler, make sure you have a way to lock the firearm up, safely, in your vehicle.

NOTE: In Tennessee, you are limited to the rights of Tennessee permit holders, so if your permit allows carry of a taser, knife, etc., carrying in TN is limited to a pistol.

State's site on info on permit.

You can carry tasers, stun guns, etc without a permit in Tennessee I thought

That is right, basically the law really doesn't address those items.

Also a knife with a blade of 4" or less is legal.
