Hi visiting chatty mar 5 to 8 for socon basketball and staying at Hilton Garden downtown.Any suggestions or funny laws I should know about? What about open carry? Thanks Frank

Make sure the sporting event allows firearms, as such events typically do not allow carry.

Our posting laws have recently changed. If it has a gun in a circle with a slash (a "gunbusters" sign) visible at the entry, do not carry there.

As with any traveler, make sure you have a way to lock the firearm up, safely, in your vehicle.

NOTE: In Tennessee, you are limited to the rights of Tennessee permit holders, so if your permit allows carry of a taser, knife, etc., carrying in TN is limited to a pistol.
