If the bill gets assigned to the Judicary Committee, the two Dems are Erpenbach and Risser. They both will try to stop everything. Risser is a dinosaur representing Madison elitists. Erpenbach has a district that should have a sizable % of firearm freedom folks, but he has to be pounded on the issue.

Presuming both Risser and Erpenbach return after escaping to Ilinois. Wonder if they are assisting the Chicago mayor election today.

Erpenbach is a member of League of Women Voters, a Joyce Foundation funded organization. They got $60,000 from Joyce in December, 2010 to influence to political process. Note the term "Education." Where have we seen that used? Joyce is a very scar organization.

But the other Members of the Judiciary are Republicans, including the Chair & Vice Chair so the bill would get a Majority vote in that committee & make it out of the Judiciary.

Both Risser & Erpenbach are staunch opponants of CCW.... but they're outnumbered.

Anyone got an idea on Zipperer, Kedzie and Galloway's position on Constitutional Carry? Also Assembly lead and committee?

Kedzie is my Senator. He seems supportive but he wants a permit for reciprocity. He has never answered my question 'optional?'

Sen Zipperer replied to me with a letter stating he was for concealed carry and quoted the 2nd amendment and the state Constitution. What he didnt say was a single word about needing a permit OR not needing a permit.

I am working on another letter to him about it.

I've talked with one of his assistants and he said he (assistant) was also in favor of smaller government and no fees. I know Zipperer is pro carry, but I forget if he is more permit or Constitutional side.

No state is required to honor any other state's permit. How is this possible in those previous bills?

I think he misused the term reciprocity and meant to say that all other state's permits would be recognized. I've seen that happen with the new law here in Iowa that recognizes all carry permits issued by any state for non-residents.
