Constitutional Carry threatened by Governor's Veto!

Constitutional Carry threatened by Governor's Veto!

As you know, the Jenning-Jaggi Constitutional Carry bill has passed through the Wyoming legislature with overwhelming numbers and is currently sitting on Governor Matt Mead’s desk for his signature or veto.

But, as I write this alert, anti-gun forces are mobilizing to push Gov. Mead to veto the legislation.

I just got word that several organizations are right now banging the gong for a Governor’s veto -- and Gov. Mead might topple under their effort.

Sadly, we already know that Gov. Mead is on the fence about the Constitutional Carry bill. According to the Chicago Tribune, Mead's staff is saying that the Governor is still undecided about this common-sense legislation that passed overwhelmingly through the Wyoming legislature.

All of your hard work to pass this bill could be torpedoed by Governor Matt Mead if you and I do not take action today, right now -- literally, there is not a minute to waste.

There are three simple, easy steps that you can take to make the difference with Gov. Mead.

    1) Call the Governor's office at (307) 777 - 7434 and urge him to sign this widely supported, common sense legislation.

    2) Click this link, http://governor.wy.gov/contactus/Pages/default.aspx and use the contact form to email the Governor as well. If you need help with what to say, see below.

    3) Finally, make sure you forward this to as many pro-gun friends as you have. I know I have more than a few of them, and I bet you do too.

Governor Mead could make a decision about Constitutional Carry at any moment so there isn't a moment to lose. Act now!

    Sincerely,

P.S. All of your hard work to pass the Jennings-Jaggi Constitutional Carry bill is now being threatened by the possibility of a Governor's veto.

The anti-gun crowd is already whipped into a frenzy and demanding a veto from Governor Matt Mead who has already been undecided on this common-sense legislation.

Please take a moment to follow the three easy steps above.

We're working feverishly to spread the word before time runs out, but mailers, phone calls, and emails cost money. Please consider rushing Wyoming Gun Owners your most generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 TODAY!

Don't forget that if you need help with what to write to the Governor, you can cut and paste this sample into your own email.

    Gov. Mead,

I join Wyoming Gun Owners and the many thousands of freedom-loving citizens of our state in urging you to sign SF-47, the Constitutional Carry Act of 2011, into law.

This legislation would allow Wyoming to join the other states who recognize that our right to keep and bear arms, without the requirement to obtain a costly and time-consuming permit, is a matter of constitutional rights.

In effect, it makes the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution our permit to carry concealed.

I’ll be watching what happens and will stay informed on your actions through Wyoming Gun Owners.

    Signed,

    YourName of YourCity, Wyoming

    Governor's veto of Constitutional Carry

We need to contact Mead NOW! AB has given the info and sounded the alarm. Let Gov Mead feel the heat so he can see the light. Also encourage him to sign the strengthening of the Castle Doctrine law. These two bills go hand in hand. Together they go a long way in restoring liberty.

    Al Swerengen

The answer to what Al would do is simple....

He'd shout at Dan and Jewell to open up the peaches, and send Johnny to gather up Bullock, Star, Merrick, Utter and Nuttall. Tolliver would just show up. Farnum would watch from the boardwalk.

Once they were all around the table, he'd announce that Silas Adams would be dispatched to the Governor's office to set up the bribe needed to ensure the Veto never happened.

"If after we tempt the *********** with currency, there is resistance or reluctance to see the merit of our generous offer, it will be of the utmost urgency that we temper our resolve and pack what we own everywhere all the time. Make it their effort to anticipate our intentions hoping against our brandishing our smoke wagons in a manner that might provoke rebuke. Failing that, lets make certain Wu's pigs have been deprived of their daily ration so as to invoke their hunger..."

"Successful completion of the efforts authored here, should be limited only by the allowance of having ****** carrying pieces. I don't need these hoople heads fearing that a piece of ***** might in turn offer a lead laden wound. That is not the business I'm in here..." - Al

The governor did not veto a single bill during the last session. I will be surprised if he ever does in the next three years of his first term.
