First this:
"Following the 1997 General Election, the Labour government of Tony Blair introduced the Firearms (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1997, banning the remaining .22 cartridge handguns in England, Scotland and Wales, and leaving only muzzle-loading and historic handguns legal, as well as certain sporting handguns (e.g. "Long-Arms") that fall outside the Home Office Definition of a "Handgun" due to their dimensions. The ban does not affect Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, or the Channel Islands."

Then This:
England - .22 10 round capacity

Well, if you're reading this then there is a good chance that you are not gullible or stupid.

Gullible and stupid are those who just react emotionally, "feeling" that laws will regulate insanity. Tragic that people die each year as a direct result of teaching people that firearms are the problem.

Reading these articles reminded me that the .22LR is a dangerous little round. Lots of people who were just as dead from a .22 as if they had been shot by a .45ACP hollowpoint. I've been shopping for a BUG and a .22LR is on my list. High cap and fairly dangerous.

Insanity and guns...

100 years ago the insane were locked up to protect society. Today they are loosed upon society in order to respect their "rights" as a human.

Is it possible they are being used to move our society in a "safer" direction since those in power can use the kneejerk reaction of the people to restrict the very Rights that would threaten a tyrant? Hmmm.
