hit this poll re: making public the names of gun owners

Most of the way down the page, on the left:

Should the names of registered gun owners be public information?
Yes. It would expose those who should not have weapons.
No. It puts gun owners at risk.
Obviously talking about IL, since there ain't no such animal here in WI.
But if the Repubs go back on their word (they are politicians, after all) and pass a carry permit system, the same could be asked of permit holders.

The poll is biased and tailored for the liberals - very unusual for FOX. People who should not have firearms would never have been able to "register" them to begin with. There are already existing measures in place to prevent unauthorized persons from purchasing firearms. Having a "registry list" would become a menu for bad guys to decide where to break into next.

As it has been said, this is very misleading. There are measures in place to stop criminals or any person of bad character from buying (in most cases) and legally owning a handgun. This is just worded this way as to get the votes that they want.
"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence ... From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that is good" - George Washington

We must contact our lawmakers today, tomorrow and the next day to remind them of Constitutional Carry.
