I recently tried to get a gwl but was denied. I can legeally purchase firearms I just bought a pistol and and a rifle this weekend. My question is if i can purchase a gun but why can i not get a permit. I was pled first offender to a theft by extortion back in 03 done my probation and was told it was off my record. Any help or info would be appreciated thanks.

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. You might try to ask the folks in the Georgia Forum as they may have a better idea of the where's and why's of a GWL. What was the reason given for your denial?
