SB 292 Needs your help to get passed!

SB 292 would enact preemption across the state. No local entity would be able to enact ordinances prohibiting the legal carrying of a firearm any where that was allowed by state law. Now since the the walk-out over the collective bargaining agreement with teachers, they may not have time to fit this in. We need to email all of our Senators and let them know this Bill is important to us! Bad part is we only have 2 days. [EDIT] >>> March 16 (not March 14) is their last day to get this passes along.

[ADDED ON EDIT] This would allow us to carry on university sanction events. (ie: college football, basketball, baseball)

This is how the actual bill reads:

This sums it up, and makes it easier to understand:

Click on this link, select a Rep. (Tomes District 49 (R) is the one who authored the bill) Then on the left there is a link saying email "whoever you have selected"

"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence ... From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that is good" - George Washington

This link is also a very good information based site. It lets all Hoosiers see all the Bills introduced that involve firearms. I highly recommend it!
