Ever why why Ol' Jer gets millions from sugar daddy Joyce Foundation for her ineffective WAVE scam. Read on.

Check out her wailing about the McDonald decision. If citizens in Chicago were banned from possessing handguns, how could they have been acquired for use in suicides. Must be the suicides by cop.

If Jer is so concerned with reducing suicides, she should work toward better mental health care, as well as reducing access to drugs. (Let's see her do both at once!)
The VAST majority of suicides & attempts in WI are by overdose ("self-poisoning").

According to the 2004 WI Dep't of Health annual report on violent injuries & deaths, available here
http://www.mhawisconsin.org/Uploads/gls/gls_violentdeath.pdf

74% were suicide. (650/880)
Only 33% (293/880) were suicide by gun. (That leaves 41% who did something else.)
16% were homicide. (160/880)
12% (104/880) were homicide by gun.

Of people hospitalized for self-inflicted injuries, 80% (3626/4533) were for overdose.
That's about 10 times the total death by gun (suicide + homicide).
42 were hospitalized for self-inflicted firearm injuries. That's 42/4533, or .9%. (Less than 1%.)

ETA:
In reading the "article" at the first link, I found this by Ms. Alberding:
Each one of us must challenge the assumption, best stated in 2009 by Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, that “the guys with the guns make the rules.” If this is true, it is a direct threat to our democratic process.
So she thinks that the military & police shouldn't have guns either?
Or they're OK, but citizens & criminals aren't?
And as usual, no suggestion of how to get criminals to give up their guns, stop attacking citizens.
And no acknowledgement that it's the criminals who are the problem.

Yes, those with power make rules. If someone stops you on the street & points a gun at you & says his rule is "I get to leave with the money you now have" you can either hand over the money and maybe live, not hand over the money & probably get shot, or reach into your pocket or purse as if to get money & instead shoot the criminal (through your purse or pocket, if needed).
