Taurus

I have a Taurus 24/7 PRO DS and I want to say I love it, but I've had to send it in twice to be adjusted. Their service is quick, but I may start looking for a new EDC. I hope that when I get it back Monday that I will change my mind, because it has a great grip/feel. When I've shot it, it was very accurate.

Have you noticed that this guy is in the peoples republic of New Jersey. He probably doesn't even own, much less carry a handgun, openly, concealed, lawfully, or otherwise.

De-cocking

Both times for de-cocking and going into DA when it should have been SA. De-cocking under different conditions. But they are quick, I fedexed it to them on the 18th and I am getting it back on the 28th.

Well, social is NJ, the post I was replying to is someone else-from Wash.
But yes, I pointed that out to socialist in one of the earlier smack-downs.

To the de-cock issue, was it de-cocking on it's own somehow? Or was the safety/de-cock just too easy to manipulate when letting off the safety?

I've had 2 good and 2 bad. Sold them all except 1 which was a gift as a memorial.

PT-99 was trouble free-sold it and got a Sig 226 Elite Stainless
PT140 was trouble free-sold it and got a Sig 220 Elite Stainless

PT1911 improperly fit firing pin stop dropped out during firing as well as the plunger for the firing pin safety. Frame was damaged. Fixed and sold, used the money towards my Les Baer.

M44 Revolver that had the cylinder fall off. Taurus fixed it and its now is a paper weight that I refuse to use anymore. I would sell it if I could.

I noticed he only chose to comment on the part of my post that supported his argument.

I will only say that from my experience it's 50/50. Take from that what you will.

Oh so you're willing to put your life on the 50% failure? More power to ya. Unless you have enough sense to use it as a range gun.

I'm a LEO, I own a PT140. Use it to CC off duty. Yeah,,guess you would call me dumb, but it's never failed...EVER would prefer it over what I'm issued to carry. Like a .40 cal much more.

I Own Several Taurus Firearms....Problems With Any Of Them? Yep...

I have a Taurus .22LR pump carbine...no problems; Taurus 681 .22 WMR....no problems; Taurus .45ACP Pro ...no problems; Taurus .22LR revolver (can't remember model numbers)...big problem: After shooting it about 10 times the cylinder wouldn't rotate and actually locked making it almost impossible to open and remove the rounds. I shipped it to Taurus in Florida for a whopping $50 (never reimbursed by Taurus) and two months later it returns. No paperwork of any kind in the package, no explanation as to what was wrong, nothing. That is NOT good customer service.

Would I buy another Taurus? Doubtful. I stick to Rugers mostly and have several dozen with absolutely no problems of any kind in the 31 years I have been buying Rugers.
