Open carry in central Florida

I live in Volusia county FL. I plan on fishing at night on a walkway in a local park. Will I be able to open carry? Any advice would would be helpful. Thanks Gerg

Greg, one of the duties of law enforcement is to "keep the peace". They are under no obligation to either know details about law nor tell you the truth regarding those details of law if they feel it might interfere with keeping the peace. If you want legal advice, seek it from a lawyer, not a cop.

Legally, you are permitted to OC while going to, during, and coming from a fishing expedition. In practicality, the "going to" and "coming from" is limited to no stops whatsoever anywhere else. Please refer to §790.25(3)(h).

A Court House in Florida is the last place on Earth you could expect the Law to be known, discussed, or applied.
