planning to get a cc permit

I was planning on getting a permit for the sake of convenience, and I was wondering just how hard it is in Randolph county

Looks pretty similar to the one in Madison County: fill it out, send it in, get approved, go down, sign, pay, walk out.

This all assumes you meet the requirements.

State law says you have to have a pistol license if you have a pistol in the car.

State law doesn't say anything about loaded, unloaded, etc. If you have a pistol in the car, you have to have a LICENSE. Not a permit, a license.

Section 13A-11-73

License to carry pistol in vehicle or concealed on person - Required.

No person shall carry a pistol in any vehicle or concealed on or about his person, except on his land, in his own abode or fixed place of business, without a license therefor as hereinafter provided.

Also, "ANY LAWFUL PURPOSE" is a reason for applying for a pistol license.
