Bill 234 already scheduled for rules committee

04/12/2011 Senate • On Committee agenda-- Rules, 04/15/11, 9:15 am, 110 Senate Office Building --If Received

What do they mean by if received?

I think it means that they had to schedule the rules committee with all the bills they planned on having, and because of delays of lots of bills all over the place, they had to just write up slots for ones they expected before knowing the votes.
Thus, if a preceding committee nixes a bill, they can just skip over it, but as long as it passes they can just roll with it.
Probably done because time is running short for committees.

Do we have any idea how long it will take to get to the senate if it passes on Friday?

That's ok, I'll admit that amendment had me worried.

Her district needs to know what she did today.

African Americann is a sponsor of the bill!

    I'd say Alexander is yes.

    I'll go with 7-6 or 8-5 favorable.

I think we've got this one. Lets just watch for bogus amendments and be ready to fire off a barrage if we see one.

I'm more concerned about the Senate Floor Vote than this committee.

I think you better have that AMD holster built pretty quick.

    Video of Judiciary

How can we get the video from the Judiciary Committee?

This needs to be saved, so if Fl ever goes for constitutional carry, we can extensively quote from the LEO's predictions of gloom and doom that didn't happen.

That's a great idea! Put the LEO's wacky comments permanently on YouTube for all to see.

I know we can't judge from NRA grades, but Wise should be a "Yea". That in combination with the ones we know will vote for it means the other two don't matter so much.

    podcast

I listened to the podcast of the judiciary meeting and found their comments deeply disturbing. I know to take what is said worth a grain of salt, but still. Unfortunately, we can't all be "happy". Either these LEO's will be happy, or OCDO and friends will be happy. These high ranking LEO's are enemies of liberty, and they must be given no quarter.

Someone should go there and speak in support.... Someone, who's that? I don't know anybody named "Someone."

Maybe it's you? Maybe it's me? Who is Someone these days?

watch for it-now we're all "happy"

There will be an amendment to close the OC "loophole" of section 12-"prohibited places". Whatever, anti-human rights pussies. Hopefully, that's all they do. I'm trying to get inside the enemy's head. I'm good at it. I'm trying to think of what they could do to ruin it. ...........................

    got it.

"Within a city's limits, and provided that such city's population is above xxxx a person licensed under this section will not be authorized to carry openly. But if they are found to be carrying openly, there will be no penalty as long as they comply with a law enforcement officer's demand that they conceal the weapon."
