You never can tell with the NRA's grades. They gave Harry Reid an A. They gave Thrasher an A. Although Thrasher did vote for OC.

I don't think it will be a problem. Just be on the look out for crap amendments.

We need 7. Presuming the 4 who already put a yes on it still vote yes this time, we only need 3 more to go yes. I think this is probable. We have 5 who might, and we only need 3 of them.

I am not a fan of form letters. I like each message they receive to be from a different person, and with their own points/views. I'm not discouraging form letters, they work for lazy people who might otherwise not send a message. ;-)

So:

Tell these 'thank you' for their 'yea' votes said:

If you want to take the time said:

These are possible 'yea' voters said:

These are probable 'no' votes. Still worth the time to write to them and make your sound arguments. If they vote as expected said:

One of the major points I like to make, which has been entirely missed in every debate thus far, is that OC is about fixing a major defect in CC. The fact that CC doesn't prevent, and forced CCers to wait until it is already too late. I've been down this road personally. I'm not going to argue with the CCers who have been lucky enough not to learn it the hard way. It isn't an argument. "Out of Sight, Out of Mind." CCers look like soft targets and they get attacked! They then draw, point, and (sometimes) fire their guns! OC is about making sure it doesn't come to that. Most of the time, a CCer draws the gun, and the altercation ends. Mere sight of the gun deters the bad guy. Hence, why OC makes sense. A visible gun in a holster is WAY better than a visible gun in hand with a finger on the trigger. And as such, the altercation never takes place to begin with. Looking at other states, we cannot measure events that never happen. However, the fact that said events never happen, speaks volumes.

Some people are still afraid of Blacks. Some people are afraid of Cars. Some people are afraid of Spiders. Being afraid of Basic Human Rights is not a valid excuse to exterminate them. Fire burns and water drowns, yet these are not forbidden. A Human Being with a Brain uses Tools to improve themselves and their position. Guns are nothing more than tools. Visible, they are far more effective in promoting peace, than hidden. If some soft-headed panty-wetter wants to be afraid, then let that mental defective be afraid. Being handicapped in favor of their ignorant and hateful comfort-zone is not acceptable.

Ambiguous wording, which leaves decisions to the LEOs, has never turned out well. They always find the most restrictive way to 'interpret' the words. This leads to Case Law, and some poor citizen being even more poor.

OC does not make a LEO's job more dangerous or more difficult. Feigning response calls to MWAG reports is nothing more than the LEOs demonstrating their desire to waste their own time. If it isn't a crime (and it's not), why are they responding? This game has been played in other states. Eventually, the LEOs give in and stop wasting time sending cops to 'investigate' non-criminal behaviors. "OMG, that lady over there is eating a hotdog!" - It's not a crime, why are the Cops showing up? They aren't supposed to be doing it anyway. It is about intimidation and false-flagging a citizen. This argument from the LEOs is the oldest trick in the book. Your baby Brother or baby Sister pulled it on you when you were young. Scream "ouch" when mommy isn't looking, even though you didn't do anything wrong. Grow up LEOs.

Gun-haters talk about 'fear' as a way to imply there were something to be afraid of when there isn't.

If Gang Members are being issued Concealed Weapons Permits; maybe they aren't really Gang Members? Pictures of how scary they look? Really? If they had a record, they wouldn't have the permit! The LEOs have resorted to Fashion Policing as an excuse to restrict Basic Human Rights. The more of this they pull, the more they debase their own position. Who can take anything they say seriously now?

Florida was the first to create the Concealed Weapon Permit system. Why are we among the last to remove it's fatal and dangerous flaws?
