I went with Deros last year and wish I could go tomorrow!

    Oly

I'll try to make it, but since I live in Oly I would never be able to make it up North to pick you up. Besides I would be embarrassed by being up (hair) staged by you! I'm getting off work about 2pm + or - so I'm going to try.

April 15, 2011Protesting: (1) To Many Taxes (2) To Much Government
"Drain the Swamp" Marchon the capitol
(supporting the "push forward" rally at 2-pm)

Arrive in Olympia at the Starting Point by 1:00 PM (to have time to drop passengers & park)

Bring $3 in quarters for parking
Union Ave. x Jefferson St. is the STARTING POINT (by the Credit Union)
I-5 exit 105-A puts you on 14th Ave (turn RIGHT at Jefferson St.)
I-5 exit 105-B puts you on Plum St. (turn LEFT onto Union Ave.)
The March starts no later than 1:15 PM(puts us at the Capitol at 1:45 for the Push Forward Rally)

I will be part of the MC group. The TEA party wanted a MC escort.

Add to your "Drain the Swamp" title "Get Rid of the Leeches".

That would give a nice "ring to it" and could also make for a nice "chant".

Isn't tax day the 18th this year.

You may have discovered the real reason for the tax day change.

    Thanks Deros

...for getting the word out on this. I hadn't heard about it until I read this thread two nights ago.

Went despite concerns there'd be a big union presence and bought a couple t-shirts from the Pierce County Tea Party association to show support - hung out on the steps and listened to the speakers for 30 or 45 minutes or so.

The 'other' people were a pathetic group. Comic antics and a few weak sisters pleading for attention - I think there might've been 50 people over there - maybe more before I arrived though? The 2pm/3pm thing was confusing - I showed up at ~2:40 or so. At least 150 or more on the Capitol steps - so they were outnumbered

    Thanks again!

See the big smile on the SP face. See what Squeak is wearing. Coincidence.

Just a observation after last years picture.

It's a good thing Squeak remembered to wear pants under the chaps... Some of you don't remember when that happened.
