So I live in your typical older suburb just outside of Steven Point. Across the road from me live a wonderful retired couple. They, like many other their age, flee to Florida about Thanksgiving and don't come back until around Easter. As our driveways are right across from each other and our house is the only one with a real view of their place, I make it my duty to watch their place for them. Also myself and another neighbor snow-blow their driveway as well.

So a few months ago I see a vehicle turn in their driveway in the middle of the day. Four teenagers get out, enter the residence with a key and then leave a few minutes later, one holding a bottle of something. So I talk to my other neighbor and ask him to contact the owners and let them know what I saw. I also had written down the plate of this vehicle I had never seen before. A couple of hours later I see an older mom and son pull up and go into the house. I recognize the son as one of the teenagers, and the mom as one of the frequent care-takers of the house. Putting two and two together, I'd say that I had busted the kid on taking grandpa's booze... I felt a little bad as I wasn't a saint at that age, but oh well maybe it'll help him stay on straighter path in the future. Also, don't f*ck with my neighbors.

Tonight my wife notes to me that a different vehicle pulls up around 11:30pm. Now that is really odd. I watch two unknowns enter (dark driveway) the garage and subsequent house. I didn't feel the need for arms so I just grabbed my flash light and headed over to the house. Upon inspection of the home I found the door they entered locked behind them and the main floor of the house still dark. I can see some unusual lights coming from the downstairs area.

I hit the doorbell a few times and I position myself around a corner in a shadow where I can see into the kitchen and dining room and I'm not visible from the door where I just rang the bell. I figure if I see thugs I have an escape route out of danger. After a minute or so who do you think comes walking out to the door, this same poor kid and some teenage girl.

I hold my position as they come out of the house and hit them with the flash light:

"Hello, everything alright?"

"Yes sir, nothing's getting burgled!"

Me, holding in a laugh once realizing I probably just interrupted this poor kids chance of getting laid, "I see - you're the grandson, correct?"

"Yes sir, I know my grandpa appreciates you watching his property."

"Yep no problem - as long as every thing's okay I'll be on my way."

They both make a bee-line for the car and GTFO and I laugh to myself on my walk back up my driveway!

Also, don't f*ck with my neighbors.

So he was caught once and thought he could get away with it again? Not too bright.

if they made the cars today like back in the day, they could have just used the back seat.
