He's listed as a cosponsor on AB-69, the "castle doctrine" bill. Ask him if he is willing to support changes in AB-69 that will strengthen the bill and bring it in line with "stand your ground" legislation. Florida's has been suggested as a model.

I was able to talk with my rep last Friday and asked him if Castle Doctrine could be expanded to protect us out in public. He wasn't too familiar with Stand Your Ground, so I forwarded FL's law and he said he'd look at it over the weekend. I'll try to call today to find out his thoughts on it.

On Weds I got a call from Rep. Klenke he is my Rep in the Green Bay area.I spent 30 minutes on the phone with him, Real nice guy....He said he supports Constitutional carry but seems to think the Majority of the Assembly will not support it, he also said a shall issue concealed carry bill will be more palatable to the Majority, but he did say that he will support Constitutional carry although he said that he understand why training would be important, since even himself has never fired a gun before. so I invited him out to the range when his schedule permits, I would show him the how to safely fire a pistol, the 4 rules, etc, etc, etc , he thanked me & said he would sometime soon & would enjoy firing a Glock & my AR15, it's always nice introducing people to the pleasures of Handguns / Assault Rifles & a new way of life..

What the legislators have to realize the although Constitutional Carry sounds extreme, it's not so, as Wisconsin citizens have this with the open carry of firearms. What "Constitutional Carry" legislation will do is provide Wisconsin citizens the option to exercise the right discreetly.
