Senator Ellyn Bogdanoff amended the bill and removed the open carry provision from the open-carry bill. Bogdanoff is now Obama's new BBF in the fight to take away gun rights from citizens. It will probably be another 24 years before we get a chance at passing a similar bill thanks to Senator Bogdanoff Florida's new candidate, and Obama's newest friend in repealing the 2nd amendment.

Don't you just love it when legislators use ambiguous words in bills such as "rude?" Do they even define "rude?" This is the problem with letting lawyers write legislation -- they build in ambiguous words so they can collect big fees in court arguing the definition of "rude" one way or the other depending on who's paying their fee.

This is the wrong amendment. The above is amendment #322294 What you are reading here above was replaced with the following amendment below #688734:

34 It is not a violation of this section for a person licensed to
35 carry a concealed firearm as provided in s. 790.06(1), and who
36 is lawfully carrying a firearm in a concealed manner, to briefly
37 and openly display the firearm to the ordinary sight of another
38 person, unless the firearm is intentionally displayed in an
39 angry or threatening manner, not in necessary self-defense.

BIG difference in wording.

Im just guessing, if you have an IWB holster and flash your weapon it would be "rude" because it would show your undies.....

Be sure to thank Marion Hammer, as well, especially now that she is blaming OCers for the failure of the bill.

I'm curious how can she rationalize blaming OCDO & FloridaCarry.org for an NRA approved amendment?
