Now now j4l you know bedding materials and sinkholes will always take precedence over your right to defend such a little thing as...your life.

I say it's worthy of a minimum 8 hour debate on the virtues of new bedding materials vs. recycled.

I want no amendments to this one either...unless it's for mandating the use of organic cotton and pillowtops.

Discovery of any previously used bedding shall be a third degree felony, although "accidental exposure" of the used portion shall not be subject to criminal prosecution (unless, in the officer's sole discretion, the exposure was either not accidental nor for the purpose of intimidation). Should the used bedding be exposed with malice aforethought and premeditation, this shall be a capital offense.

All in favor of the amendment say, "Aye"

Show the amendment adopted.

Brings us to amendment number 606854

This amendment "tightens mattress exposure"

"Except as otherwise provided by law and in subsection 8, it is unlawful for any person to openly display a mattress.
It is not a violation of this section for a person to briefly and openly display the mattress to the ordinary sight of another person, unless the mattress is intentionally displayed in an angry or threatening manner and/or contains bed linen with a thread count of less than three hundred, necessary changing of bed linen notwithstanding."

As much as it pains me to say this, we may have to focus our efforts on the most vulnerable. We're spread too thin to take out all of them. We should focus on the battles we have the best chance of winning.

As a direct OC Bill, I believe we would also have more opponents. Both Parties in FL hate the idea of Freedom of any kind, and the Floridians have been drinking their Kool Aid for decades.

Lets hit the most vulnerable ones, and use them as an example to the fence sitters.

Dean is vulnerable, he's been ******* people off for a long time but always manages to make himself look like the lesser of the evils by hiding his agenda behind other people's names. That game is wearing thin.

It is flawed to look at this as a "we only need one vote." We only NEEDED one vote. We now face a steeper climb.

I second Dean.

He should be priority number one. Like some other posters have mentioned, we won't get out of criminal justice with Dean there.

Secondary priorities should be by rank. Anyone who is a nay and holds any level of authority over the scheduling of committee hearings.

Dean is not popular in south marion county. I'll be going to his office to speak with him once I get directives from headquarters. His "concerns" as voiced in CJ could be debunked by my 8 year old sister. I don't believe the man is retarded, so I'll assume he's just a freedom hater and try to convince him it's not worth opposing.

He's not. Bud he's damn good at manipulating those who are.

A conversation with that man is pointless. You'll convince him of nothing. If you look up "Good Ol' Boys" in the Dictionary, his name is there. Make yourself a vocal opponent, and you better watch your back.

He's all about power, and the power to abuse that power and get away with it. You've never met someone more corrupt and dangerous.

I'm not trying to discourage, nor do I care if you think I'm a wacko. Don't underestimate what you're getting into just by speaking to him.

This is a deplorable situation, Ixtow. Please see my (rambling) post "That was headquarters" and let's think-tank our way out of the situations that we currently face with Mike-Foxtrots like Dean and Bogdanoff.

You ain't wacko. You, 77zach, StogieC, Phoenix, Rick H, and FzSBlackMagick, Phoenix, 10x, Firedog, j4l, and others are on the front lines of a war that we are going to WIN BIG.

I even have to thank mach1chris for giving us a perspective that we would not have been able to count on otherwise. I'm glad he saw the light and learned that there's a lot more going on here than just a debate about a flawed bill that became more flawed as it progressed through committees.

Don't leave Florida, dude. We need you here. Your knowledge is invaluable and you're about to see something Enormous take place right here. We appreciate all of your efforts and we're going to make miracles happen.

Wow, I get mentioned twice? lol.

We really gotta stick together and work our rear ends off to convince or replace our anti-rights senators. I'm looking forward to meeting whoever can make it to the S.FL. fishing day, maybe we can work something out for meeting with Bogdanoff, or starting the campaigns against her if she can't be convinced.
I'm gonna be in Florida at least until sometime next year, whether I like it or not, so even if I leave, I'd love to see OC legal before I go.
The fight for freedom didn't end when the founding fathers kicked the brits out, it didn't end when we kicked the crap out of ourselves, it didn't end when we kicked half the world back in line when the SHTF, twice, it didn't end when we held out against or deposed half-a-dozen lesser despots, and it didn't end when we ended bin Laden; countless someones have fought and bled for our rights, against almost every nation and power in the world since before we were a nation... it's disgusting that whenever we run out of foreign enemies, there's sure to be a few enemies of freedom in power right here at home. We can't let them win, socially and politically; pushing pack against them for our rights is the least we can do when so many have bled and died to buy us those rights in armed service.

Well put. And you wonder why you'd get mentioned twice?

The problem with defending the nation from the domestic threats in office, is that you are immediately called a traitor, terrorist, extremist, etc...

Patriotism is NOT agreeing with the government. And I point at the Democrats when I ask, isn't the government supposed to be representing us? What does your name mean again? No politician has the authority to tell us anything at all. They're supposed to be listening to us. Hypocrisy has never been more evident than in a group that calls themselves "democratic" and even names themselves after the word, yet preach socialism under pain of incarceration.

The RINOs are just following suit. Who was it that said Republicans are the same thing as Democrats, just 15 years behind? The Democrats went off the deep end attacking any freedom they could shake a stick at in the mid 90s (again). When did the Neocon takeover/collusion begin? It was a fine effort they made this time, throwing in their lot with their supposed opposition. But in the end, they just made their pretense all the more transparent.

All politicians are on the same team; enemies of We the People.

I say we assess Bogdanoff's foundation. Dean is already a clearly vulnerable target. But I think we'll find their propaganda machine finds willing fools in Floridians. Floridians have been hating their own freedom for decades. They will hate OC on cue of their puppeteers. We will find even more opposition next year.

Who can report on statistics of Bogdanoff's previous primaries and elections? Opponents, numbers, etc.

It's by no means limited to Florida, nor is it a (R)/(D) thing. It's the continued insistance on "lesser of two evils" choices we face every election also.
As for Floridians- keep in mind, most arent from here. They infest the place from other states, and try to make little mini-Nj/NY/Ct's out of us.

Exactly why I call it "New Jersey with Palm Trees."

We're overrun. We're outnumbered.

Frankly, shoot 'em...

Don't know. I know Dean got the R nomination from Baxley by a hair.

Dedicated neocon and antigunner Michael Bennett ran uncontested. !!!???
