well,,,

another interesting observation,,, or lack there of...
oddly when we get together for a open carry meet like this.
we often end up talking about everything else besides, GUNS!
and we dont ever make a big deal about showing off what it is we are carrying!
looking back on the meet, and analyzing my list of "comers" to the meet,
i see that besides the gun i know i was carrying,
i only actually looked at, and made note of 5 other guns carried that morning!
im sure that at least 4 other members that i think i know well were carrying,
but i did NOT look and confirm the presents of a gun on hip!

a friend of mine did remember to ask,
if the gun i was carrying, was one of the ones i have, that actually work?

I arrived just as things were wrapping up, but it was good to see folks again. Sounds like a missed out last weekend in Olympia, I shall not overlook that event again. Glad to hear all the hard work organizing paid off.

this is the aforementioned wife. I am now an official forum member all on my own instead of just an appendage.

as far as not comfortable carrying, more a matter of lack of practice/training on our part. the one gun we own so far is mine. we have been to the range several times, but until we are a bit better at hitting what we are aiming at, we would feel better waiting to carry. concealed or open. that and the one holster we have bought so far still feels a little awkward. not sure if that would fade with use or if we are going to try a different style. I am considering trying a tactical (thigh) holster next due to having abit of excess around the middle making hip holsters dig into my side.

oh yeah, and I was on my way to work straight from there and wouldn't be able to keep it on at work and there have been multiple cars broken into at my work and wouldn't want to leave it locked up in the car.

You know, I can't do these with this short of notice. This being Mother's Day weekend I was already doing stuff with my wife both days. I can't do second Saturdays as I'm at the office early and all day for transfers after our Antiques/Collectibles/Firearms auctions (though this is only every other month at the moment.) Sure wish we could get more than a day or two notice to plan for get-to-gethers.
