Wtf does the FRF have to do with such bills? What's their stake? Why does it even concern them?

"The Florida Retail Federation along with the Florida Sheriffs Association and Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association were all united in opposing the original version of this bill and were ultimately successful in watering down the bill before it was passed by the Senate. "

Or for that matter, half the bills they were hammering on:
http://www.frf.org/page1.cfm?rn=370

Here's what they state themselves:

"The mission of FRF's Advocacy, Intervention and Political Team (AIP) is twofold: To meet the needs of our members and foster a better business environment in Florida through appropriate advocacy and intervention before the state's legislative, regulatory and judicial bodies and to engage in the necessary political activity to ensure that the philosophy of legislative, executive and judicial branches of Florida's government is conducive to the free-market system and the needs of our state's retail community."

The almost amusing thing is, how much of a hypocrate they are-
On matters that may impact the ethics of some of their members, they oppose "more laws"

" More laws wrong answer to wage-theft problem
4/18/2011, The Florida Retail Federation has come under fire for its position on local wage-theft ordinances, and The Post on Friday endorsed the notion that local governments should be allowed to create their own systems to investigate wage-theft complaints. But that extra layer of oversight is not needed; federal and state laws exist to address nonpayment or underpayment of wages. "

However,if for whatever reason they dream up, they feel a need to support the restriction of your rights,by all means-let's make more laws...HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....

"The Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association (FPAA) is a nonprofit corporation whose members are the 20 elected State Attorneys and over 1900 Assistant State Attorneys created to serve the needs of prosecutors. The primary functions of the Association office are education through seminars, publications and technical support."

....goes without saying who my need a nudge out their door next election..and 20...20?!?!?!? (plus 1900 pee-ons)
20 folks vs. how many of the voting public getting a say-so in this? 20? rly?
