This story isn't entirely true. Josh Sugarmann, the CEO of the "Violence Policy Center", is a Class 1 FFL Dealer holder, and has been since before 1995. He could do the transfer for her...

I hope Alan Gura knows this, and encouraged his client to approach Mr. Sugarmann, and then sues the pants off him when he refuses to do the transfer, for violating his clients civil rights.

It's time to stop playing nice, Mr. Gura.
Let's take the fight to the anti's while the iron is hot...

Good luck with Sugarmann - don't actually know that he still has his FFL

But there is this:

No FFL is ever obligated to perform a transfer for anyone. Doing so is not a violation of anyone's rights.

What you say is true enough.

I have also heard, but cannot locate the cite/reference, that an FFL must actually do business as an FFL or risk losing that license.

Can anyone chime in on this?
