Our last meet up was at a Black Bear Diner. Around 20 OCing. We were very welcomed. Good food and service. A few pictures on Las Vegas (Southern Nevada) Open Carry FB page.

Found the Sharpshootur thread and I see that meet up was at the W. Tropicana location. Glad to see they are pro-gun, but do you know if the managers apply the same OC policy at this new branch on Sunset/GV Pkwy? I would assume they do, but then again, ask MAC702 what happened to us at the supposedly gun-friendly PT's last year. We "assumed" they were OC-friendly, but that rogue mgr kicked us out.

For me there are only a few places on my top no go list. Casinos, Costco, Red Robins, Town Square and Malls, for the most part don’t give them my business. Every place else I do not worry about it.
Finding an employee that decided to go against the corporate policy or impose their own version of gun rules use to be common. At the time on open carry .org many posters had an unofficial standard procedure. Basically, by saying respecting their right to asking anyone to leave and will however first, would like to see a copy of their no gun policy, most will not have one, ask to talk to the manager, If the a manger shows up ask him for a copy. I like to tell them most business in Nevada does follow state gun laws by allowing legal firearms. Ask them for their name and a contact number to complain. Follow up with a compliant.
Since we have history with PTs one of our more successful battle. Should have taken that manager to task. After PTs head of security meet with the OC.org posters we had a OC meet and greet at the PTs that ran off our OC posters. I believe we had around 25 OCing in that PTs.
I am of the opinion our push back is why we see fewer of these rogue employees. Some of the posters have received apologize. Some where on opencarry.org is a posting of I believe the e-mail from PTs saying we were invited.
I never had any luck with open carry’s search program.

I've tested a couple of Casinos (Aliante--was asked to leave, and Santa Fe--security never noticed my OC, employees and customers at the buffet, Grand Cafe, around the slots never said anything; was just at Santa Fe on the alleged holiday called Valentine's Day), Costco (a couple of times at the N.Decatur/215...no problems; haven't been there in over a year now) and the Fashion Show Mall (security never noticed my OC; haven't been there in over a year). I was at the OC gathering at PT's that you mention, with my wife. We had a good time.

I OC's yesterday at the medical offices at Mt. View hospital for my wife's doctor appointment, and then at Steinburg medical imaging on N. Durango near Deer Springs. No problems there.
Today, so far, I've OC's at Port of Subs on Village Center in Summerlin, without incident.

My wife has won goodly amounts of $$ the last 3 times we have gone to the Santa Fe. Today was her payday, and she implored me to take her to the casino cuz her palms were itching (her "I'm gonna WIN!!!", indicator). I was tired and said, no. She gave me the "wife" look, and 15 minutes later we were at the Santa Fe. I told her I didn't want to go inside, text me when she's ready to go, and I will wait in the parking garage for her.

About 90 minutes later, I am sitting in my car listening to the radio and jotting down notes for my VA claims appeal. I see a yellow shirt on a bike coming up from behind...it's security.
He asks if I'm alright...I say, yes. He asks what I'm doing...I say, waiting for my wife; she's inside playing the slots; I don't want to go inside so I'm waiting for her call. Wellllll, says he, we have a "no loitering policy" in place...for your protection. What happens is that while you're waiting someone will come up and stick a gun in your face and rob you. ( All this time he's talking to me, I am sitting in the driver seat with my M&P on my left hip, OC. I don't say anything. ) When's your wife coming out, he asks. I say, I dunno. Well, says he, I'll give you another 10 minutes; if she isn't out by then go on inside. I remind him in my best, whiny Jerry Seinfeld voice, "But, I don't waaaana go inside!" I'll just call the wife and we'll be outta here, I say. Okay, um, well, just be careful not to let anyone come up behind you while you're parked here, okay?, says yellow shirt. I' won't, I say. Off rides yellow shirt on his bike.

I call the wife, let's go security has banished me. Out comes wife, and off we go. Her palms were right, again...we left $150 richer.

So, I wasn't kicked off casino property for OC'ing, I was kicked off for loitering, while OC'ing unbeknownst to security.

I OC'd at Audi of Las Vegas today with no issues as usual. Howard in the parts department was as nice as ever, even letting me return some parts I changed my mind about last minute.

I also OC'd at the DMV this afternoon with only a slight incident. As I walked in and sat down I saw the security guard talking to another employee in front of all the chairs. I went and sat in the second row from the front because that was the only place to sit. As I sat down I caught his gaze and I knew immediately he noticed my firearm. As I sat he sort of turned his back to me and continued speaking to the lady. I could tell from his body language he was talking about me. This was confirmed when the I heard the lady say to him "Yes, but only if it's open carry." She then said something I couldn't hear along the lines of "Not if it's...." and then she followed with "But open carry is OK." Then the security guard went and sat down and didn't give me another look. Pretty cool if you ask me!

OH! I forgot to mention that as I was waiting I overheard the guard talking to a customer and I heard him say "I'm not sure, I've only been working here for three days, but the information desk is over that way"

Glad to see a well-informed public employee be able to inform the guard of the legality of OC.:)

OCed at the bone Dr offices on Horizon Ridge. Nothing like watching a very long needle shoved under my kneecap. Yaaaahoooo!!! Afterwards, the shot giver said did not see what you were carrying on your hip glad I did not hurt you more. I said, I just want to thank you guys for allowing me to have it. Could not hear what she said however it was a positive no problem response. Told her I do not like being turned into a victim when prevented from carrying my firearm. She said I agree.
Went to Cycle Gear OCing no issue.

"Cycle" plus "kneecap" problem = related?

Or could it be age generated, normal wear and tear? That will happen to all of us......if we live long enough.

Well I believe mostly runs in my moms side of the family. However, did some motorcycle dessert racing and recreational desert riding for decades. Did snow skiing however only 3 or 4 times a year for maybe 20 or so years. Martial arts off and on for over 20 years I believe that may have had to biggest affect. My black belt now has a nicely holstered firearm attached to it. My bike riding now days are on a large street bike. Very little knee actions needed. It is a two wheeled Cadillac.

OC'd at Neighborhood Walmart (American Pacific & Stephanie). Nobody noticed my gun except a young boy at the checkout counter who looked at me and the gun but did not say anything to his mom. Walking out of the store I saw an armored truck guard walking in who eyeballed my G19. No incident.

Disarmed myself before going into the Post Office.

Re-armed before walking into Trader Joe's. Lots of Kalifornia transplants in TJ's but there were no incidents, not even a glance at the gun.

I got a curious look at Five Guys, but that was it. OC'd on my morning constitutional around the lake at Cornerstone Park, nary a glance. Sure would be nice to do that in Sunset Park one of these days... Come on super-preemption!
