Take her to the range, and carry around the house. A little exposure therapy will go a long way. Who knows, she may be carrying with you soon.
I will have to take her to the range, for sure. I'm also going to take my 13 year old son and teach him gun safety and how to shoot.
I thought about wearing the gun around the house, but decided against it. The night I wore my gun out to the store, when we got home my wife actually started to cry. She was afraid of me carrying the gun. I told her that I loved her more than the gun, and if she wanted I would take it to a gun store and sell it the following day. After some reflection, she told me not to sell it. She told me not to wear it outside the house, and just keep it in the house for self-defense. That she told me not to sell it was a promising sign. I don't want to push it farther by carrying on my person around the house. I plan to ease her into it gently, one step at a time. From what she said, I think she is open to going to the range with me.
