Where did you carry today and how did it go?

Make sure you post up in the thread regarding the November meet. It'll be awesome to meet you! Both my wife and I carry as often as possible (being stationed at Nellis, we have to arm up just outside the gates)...

today I went out with some friends

I've been OC'ing for about 6 months now but just found this forum. Today I went out to Legends shopping center in Sparks. Went to Banana Republic, bath and body works, and popeyes. Later in the evening I went to 7-11 on Silverada. No one said anything to me the entire time, they probably didn't notice as my jacket is black and the holster blends in. I frequent this 7-11 and am OC'ing about 7/10 times I visit. They owners know my gf and I since we are regulars and they've never commented on it either.

Carried down at Fletcher Jones Toyota on Sahara. This is the third or fourth time I've done it. Few looks but no issues. I've been approached by management earlier and he was surprised anyone was allowed to do it. The wife and I educated him a little and he was pretty cool about it.

Wild West Guns, as usual.

Ted Wiens tire store on Sahara and Boulder Hwy. Had to pick up a wheel to test fit my Jeep. Spent time with the guy, measuring widths and talking about how the tires would expand, as I am still thinking the wheels they picked out are too wide for the tire I picked out. I have to go back before closing after some research and test fitting before committing to having the tires mounted. Customers behind me might have looked, but the tires guys never seemed to even glance at it.

Took the boat across from Arizona with my family. Walked down a boardwalk behind the casinos then down the main strip. Went shopping in the Outlet Mall, myself and my girlfriend looked for "No Firearms" signs but didn't see any, upon leaving thru a different exit we noticed the gun with black strike thru sign on the glass besides the doors. It seems not a single person noticed I was carrying, Likely due to the small size of the all black Keltec PF9. Overall uneventful and we made it back to AZ safely.

We didn't see prohibitive signs on the Casinos but decided against entering since our youngins' were with us.

What is your daily carry?

Usually a 5" Kimber 1911 .45. I had been working most of today, so I had my XD(s) .45 this time, as the weight disappears while I work. Next week, my daily carry is likely to change, as I have a present arriving from Smith & Wesson. This one will be hard to miss on my hip, I promise you.

I carry as often as I can, unfortunately it's not every day.... Usually 3 times a week... I would carry more often if my work permitted, or if I felt comfortable leaving my gun in my car while I'm at work... But I really don't ... My carry is a xd9 sc

Started off at southwest medical to take the wife

Petsmart on eastern and st rose... Went in to get info on vaccinations for our new puppy... Spoke with a few different employees and had new issues or glances...

99cent store on eastern and serene... No issues

Lunch at the Mac shack way out on Durango and warm springs (I think that's what it was) the cashier made a comment and tried to be funny... Besides the awkward bad jokes there weren't any issues.

Back to pets mart for the vaccinations... Got a lot of looks this time but I think that was more from having the dog in my arms than the gun.... Spoke with the vet there for about an hour and she didn't have any issues at all...

Fresh and Easy on boulder highway and horizon ... Groceries for Sunday dinner... I carry here often and never have issues

And the Faustos on horizon and college... Best carne asada nachos ever :) and no looks comments or anything...

Then Starbucks in the same shopping center... Uneventful as well

All and all a good day...

It surprises me how little people pay attention though... I used to stress so much before about getting noticed, but now it's to the point that I'm surprised if anyone notices I'm carrying at all...

Tried to make it to Wild West Guns as I am looking for a new one for For daily carry. (any recommendations please PM me.)
Ended up at the chinese restaurant on Durango and 160. One comment there but it went along the lines of, "See people OC all the time here you shouldnt be worried." I didnt see any firearms on them and saw a Utah license plate on tge vehicle they got into.

By and large I found Reno/Sparks/Carson to be pretty tolerant of open carry in the last year or so... I OC'd last night to Red Robin not knowing it was the "Tip a Cop" event. So I OC'd in front of 12 NHP troopers. Nothing was said and no dirty looks.
