I had emailed Nass the following:

Representative Nass,

While personally I believe that offering even an optional permit is counter to the smaller government mantra that we all have been preaching, I can support this amendment if it helps get the votes in the Senate and House. While I understand this hasn't come over to the House yet, please understand I support it and would want you to as well.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for your hard work.

As a note, this was before we found out the GFSZ screwup.

He wrote back:

Thank you for the support. I am cosponsor of SB 93 and will support it on the Assembly floor. I am confident that this bill will get to the Governor's desk by July 1st.

So... he is saying that the House will consider the 'Constitutional Carry with optional (unless you want to carry in a school zone) permit' bill and will pass it in the next 5 weeks.

Reading that response makes me tear up a little.
I have waited so long for this to happen, I started to wonder if I might not make it to see it.
It is about time.
