California Pizza Kitchen: bought by Romano's Macaroni Grill

    Sort of...

"California Pizza Kitchen, known for such ambitious offerings as the 1,440-calorie Tostada Pizza, will be acquired by Golden Gate Capital, an investment company that owns the Romano's Macaroni Grill and On The Border chains. The deal is expected to be worth about $740 million.

CPK has been looking for a buyer for about a year. The company has been suffering from a slowdown in sales, despite" [blah, blah, blah... you just can't go around not wanting to serve law-abiding US citizens!]

No word on any policy changes... or even if Romano's Macaroni Grill is OC friedly.

ETA: You may recall this was one of the two stores that stood against Starbucks for allowing State Laws to determine the carry policy for their stores. Nothing more fun to watch than a paranoid anti-gun policy get overridden by new ownership. Here's hoping.

Maybe Ed can send the new owners a post card guaranteeing them more customers if they toss that silly policy in the trash where it belongs...

I don't know about Macaroni Grill, but I've never had a problem OCing at On The Border (a favorite lunch spot for the family).

I've never even heard of OTB.
    Why open carry? Because 1911 > 911.
