(social justice) o I love that..comming soon to a church neer you. sarcasm off just a quick read if you havent heard about it.

It is a part of Catholic social teaching, Social Gospel from Episcopalians and is one of the Four Pillars of the Green Party upheld by green parties worldwide. Social justice as a secular concept, distinct from religious teachings, emerged mainly in the late twentieth century, influenced primarily by philosopher John Rawls. Some tenets of social justice have been adopted by those on the left of the political spectrum.

Social justice is based on the concepts of human rights and equality and involves a greater degree of economic egalitarianism through progressive taxation, income redistribution, or even property redistribution. These policies aim to achieve what developmental economists refer to as more equality of opportunity than may currently exist in some societies, and to manufacture equality of outcome in cases where incidental inequalities appear in a procedurally just system.

gotta love churches that don't believe in self-defense. they must have forgotten about the persecution of Christians through the centuries... usually at the hands of governments. and here they are holding hands with the government.

A couple issues here:

1. No such thing as a "buy back" unless the Government previously owned them.

2. If you are in Muskegon Heights, you probably need firearms and should not turn them in.

3. Unless a person has a CPL or Permission from the Church Owner, they are committing a misdemeanor by bringing the firearm on Church Premises under MCL 750.234d.

4. Jesus commanded his disciples to sell your cloak and buy a sword in Luke 22:36.

Under a socialist or authoritarian government, they do own everything and everyone and they decide what you get to keep.

Even In the US the government owns everyone as evidenced by their ability to take a portion of your time (taxes). They decide how much it is you are allowed to keep. Sure, you can vote for your rep every four years -- but everyone is on the take.

Ladies and gents, Congress HAS discovered they can bribe everyone with their own (or their neighbor's) money. This must stop.

Permission is implied by the church allowing the "buy back" to take place on church property?

Doubtful.

Any violation of the law would be unprosecutable -- police entrapment.

Not to mention -- it'd be a huge win for gun rights. Newspaper headlines: Gun Buyback backfires as participants are arrested for possession in a church.

How we supposed to do that? The only way isnt even allowed to be discussed here, and the only people who could, cant get on the same page long enough to get something like that done.

Don't vote for a Democrat or a Republican next time. That's a starter.

Or better yet arrested for possesion of an unregistered weapon. They also could be charged for acting as a gun dealer without a ffl or purchasing without the proper paperwork. Another case of only following the laws when it is convienent.

If the independents gain, and then retain power, that power will go to those heads as well.

Not really. Want to eliminate all gun control -- period? Elect the Libertarians.

Hell, they won't think twice about making Heroin legal. They DEFINITELY have no problems with people having/carrying guns.
