NRA calls out Milwaukee "conservative" radio talk show hosts for their ignorant stanc

Greetings in Freedom,

If you pass along one piece of information to your freedom-minded friends who
support the right to carry, let this be the one.

In this video, NRA lobbyist Darren La Sorte discusses the current situation with
regard to constitutional carry/concealed carry legislation in Wisconsin.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y6NgOch5jY&feature=feedu

Its especially important to watch at the 8:10 mark when Darren talks about the
damage that was done by supposedly "conservative" Milwaukee radio talk show
hosts to right to carry.

Quote:
"They (conservative talk show hosts in Milwaukee) are doing exactly what the
radical liberals are doing. Acting on a total lack of education, total
emotion."... "They should be ashamed of themselves." ... "Those Two (I presume
Charlie Sykes and Jeff Wagner) hosts out in the Milwaukee area, conservative
people, probably did more harm to constitutional carry and the fight there than
any other people out there, the anti-gunners or anyone else" - Darren La Sorte
NRA lobbyist

Send this video to Charlie Sykes and Jeff Wagner. Let them know that the NRA's
100,000+ members in Wisconsin ALONG with Wisconsin Carry, The United States
Concealed Carry Association, Wisconsin Gun Owners, the Tea Party Coalition,
Campaign for Liberty, and many other groups in Wisconsin are incredibly
disappointed in their "embarrassing" position on right to carry.

The concealed carry legislation is not yet schedule for a vote. Please
encourage Mr. Wagner and Mr. Sykes to reconsider their positions on this issue
and stop damaging legislative efforts to bring a law that has been proven
successful in other states to Wisconsin.

Share this video on your facebook pages. Let your freedom minded friends know
what "conservative" talk show hosts in Milwaukee are doing to their right to
carry.

Hopefully, you are not naïve enough to think that I am going to change my
position on this issue because of this video or these emails. I assure you that
jeff and I have seriously thought out our positions.

Apparently the governor and the state legislature agree with the position that
Jeff and I have taken.

Not naive. "Hopeful" ;) (Well perhaps naive)

I don't doubt that you've given a lot of 'thought' to your position. I'm just wondering if that thought was fact-based or emotion based. The facts support constitutional carry. There are no facts to support "training mandates, permits, etc". We don't have to speculate, we have plenty of other states to
demonstrate this.

I'm genuinely bewildered by how you could come to a fact based conclusion that constitutional carry wouldn't work here.

Wisconsin Carry is a new organization. Founded in Jan of 2010. We only have just over 4,000 members. The NRA has well over 100,000 members in Wisconsin. Its certainly not just the "kook fringe" that thinks you and Jeff are way off the reservation on this one.

Oh, one last thing. As for the "legislature" agreeing with you and Jeff. I think you have jumped the gun on that conclusion.

The 10 senators that signed onto the constitutional carry legislation as
co-authors obviously DISAGREE with you and Jeff.

Senators Galloway, Grothman, Kedzie, Lazich, Leibham, Moulton, Holperin, Vukmir, Zipperer, and Kapanke all disagree with you and Jeff. If you are keeping track, that means the majority of Republican Senators disagree with you 2.

Cosponsored by Representatives Mursau, Kleefisch, August, Farrow, Kapenga, Kerkman, Kestell, Knilans, Knudson, Kooyenga, Kramer, Krug, Kuglitsch, T. Larson, LeMahieu, Murtha, Nass, Rivard, Severson, Strachota, Tauchen, Thiesfeldt,Wynn, and Steineke. They all disagree with you also.

Its clear the DEMOCRATS in the legislature ALL agree with you. I'm surprised that you'll take comfort in being inline with that crowd. Eesh...
