    Darling needs to go!

Minute and a half into the show.

A companion bill that would toughen gun laws. Felony for cc without a permit, for example. Good, not a clamp on to SB93.

She agrees with Chief Flynn. She needs to go.

To be replaced by whom? Though in her case it may not matter.

    Just sent this email out......

    Senator Darling,

I just wanted to let you know that the efforts you have made against Constitutional Carry are your ticket out of office. By working against CC and in lock-step with Chief Flynn you have embarrassed and betrayed many of your supporters and in doing so we intend to vote you out of office in the recall election this summer. A friend who betrays your trust is worse than an enemy you know you can't trust at all.

    Sincerely

The only positive thing about this is that it is smoking out the imitators........the ones who claim to support your gun rights but really don't

If the GOP takes holperin's, hansen's and wirch's seats, then let the DNC have Darling's seat for a few years.

    I am so excited to be able to cast my vote against Wirch in the upcoming recall election I can hardly contain myself. I guess all those signatures were real after all... {snicker}

    Angry

I am starting to believe that the NRA is lying to us also. Vicki had him on and he seems to know everything except for this! I have my doubts about the whole CC bill and what is actually going to be presented. I smell a huge conspiracy going on in our GOVERMENT.

Laws are not created to expand freedom , But to restrict it. Laws are like a noose to hang us, the more laws passed the tighter the noose gets.

    A drovers dog!
When a criminal invades your home and has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.

My Definition of Gun Control: The idea that dozens of people found dead in the Broadway Café, Tasmania, and many also seriously wounded, all while waiting for police, who were called to show up and protect them, is somehow morally superior to having several armed and therefore alive civilian's explaining to police how the attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

I am starting to believe that the NRA is lying to us also.
Here is my take on that. If you look at the propaganda that NRA was sending out, they touted the bill with training/permits and even had a Q&A PDF file set up so that people could research the law. Yet, they only gave a word in passing about SB93. That made me turn up my radar to full power right away.

My fears were calmed some what at the Wausau hearing because the NRA liaison spoke to SB93 issues. They had a liaison in Madison that spoke to the training/permit bill in Madison as well mind you.

Now, I have a world of respect for Vicki McKenna because she was the ONLY voice that we really had for Constitutional Carry. She takes a more Libertarian stance in that regard and I respect the hell out of her for never backing down.

I feel that in light of the La Sorte/Sykes spat (where Charlie lied his ass off), old Charlie was not going to be getting any info direct from NRA again and neither were any other egotistical, self-described "Sensible Conservative" radio talk show hosts anywhere near Milwaukee like Charlie. NRA or LaSorte went to Vicki and gave her the exclusive because she has been going for the whole enchilada from day one. It makes sense to me anyway.

What bugs me however is that La Sorte made it sound very much like he sat at the negotiating table with "some people" from the GOP legislature and hammered out this permit/training deal. Since one qualification for training is having "been involved in shooting competitions", it cannot be anything other than NRA terminology. He sure used the word "WE" an awful lot when it came to the talk on negotiations and I do not believe that he meant NRA. Well, I want to know exactly who the hell the other part of "WE" really is...Senators/Reps? Legislative Counsel?? Who??

Who determined with NRA/La Sorte just exactly how much of our state constitutional right could we freely exercise and who determined how many restrictions on that right we would have to swallow?

Any info that you can verify?

And he astonished all of us who were there by speaking against training!
He said the NRA has been wrong, there is no proven benefit to mandatory training, & WI should not have a training requirement.

Since one qualification for training is having "been involved in shooting competitions", it cannot be anything other than NRA terminology.
There are other shooting groups that sponsor competitions.
Heck, I know of 2 at the range I use, & there's IDPA, GSSF, & several other acronyms I'm spacing on at the moment.

How many of these were in negotiations with the legislature? Why didn't their liaison announce the compromise? NRA's did before any other source on Vicki's show.

As well, NRA had their liaison's speaking at both the Wausau and Madison hearings.

You'll excuse me but when I add 2 and 2...I come up with 4.

The rants should be against Darling and those of her ilk. Without the NRA coming out as hard as they did for no permit - no training, we would have ended up with the old PPA with the Flynn Firearm Felony Act as part of it rather than the separate legislation that Republicrat Darling will be introducing.

Who will be expected to be fighting against Darling's pandering to philandering Flynn, and will be the most effective organization in doing so? Yep, the NRA. Lets quit pounding the politically most effective gun rights organization we have. The antis are already doing that full time.
When in danger you can dial 911 and hope for the police to arrive a few minutes later armed with guns.
    Why do police carry guns?

I do not see anyone bashing NRA. It's more of a "whodunnit" question. Who did NRA negotiate with in the legislature, under the radar, to arrive at what was added to SB93? Which of our legislators said "this is the minimum that we will accept"? This did not simply happen overnight and nobody that I was speaking with had any inkling that this negotiation was taking place.
Gun Control Defined: The theory that people who are willing to ignore laws against rape, torture, kidnapping, theft and murder will obey a law which prohibits them from owning or carrying a firearm.

Legislative sausage making. There was a reason why Luther Olsen was able to make his speech at the end of the meeting and Darling, a Republican co-chair did not say a word. We should be very worried about Darling. It will not be great loss to see her out. Ironically I feel that Lena Taylor is more our friend than Darling is.

The antis will be pulling out all stops this week to get restrictions in place. The Wisconsin State Journal this morning had a half page of really loony anti letters. They know that once this legislation gets approved there will be at least 100,000 permit holders who will be very vocal about protecting their carry right and privileges. Inform everyone you know with a hunter's safety certificate or military service how simple it is to obtain a carry permit. Strength in numbers, and potential WCI members .
