Come support 2A open carry in South Gate July 2nd @ 1:00 pm

would be a good date for lunch at el paseo i spoke to the manager at El Gallo Giro
i explain what open carry was and she was very positive she even said that if more than 20 were to show up she would section off a room that holds 50+ cust for us

And provide extra staff just for us ,like i mention to you before there are no rent-a-cops in this shopping mall and i already came into a sort of agreement with the local police dept.. all i do is call them ahead of time and let them know were i will be open carrying at and the dispatch then lets the patrolling officers know and its been working out great since i started calling not one-time have they showed up to do a 12031e check in fact i get a call the next day from the watch commander thanking me for calling

This place is right off the 710 fwy @ firestone exit no schools around and everybody will be able to walk around with-out a problem even has a starbucks with tons of free parking let me know by RSVP if more info is needed
    Thank you
    joe@sboc.ca

P.S the food is great there here are some reviews and address 8730 Garfield Ave, South Gate, CA 90280

    SELA open carry

First let me start out with Thanking Mr.Harley Green from SBOC he was the one that enlighten me on the OC movement,he has since moved to a different state.
i have been going around the los angeles area OC for about 6 months now with at first with terrible results that turned into being held at gunpoint, handcuffed and held 1 time over a hour by police while they took turns telling me i was going to jail and "fool do you know were you at?' and then releasing me.So i decided to try a different approach 1) to educate myself as much as possible, and carry pamphlets with me regarding OC 2)went to my local police Dept(South Gate)and talk to the watch commander and chief about my intentions 3)go on a ride along this turned out a way to introduce myself and OC beliefs to the police that actually are on patrol 4) when ever i am going to a place to OC i make a phone call to dispatch to notify them of me being there to OC
the results have been amazing!! 1) when ever i make a phone call i do it in a respectable manner no matter if the respect is not both ways , i never give them my name i only I.D myself by my initials and clothing description 99% of the time i get a "thank you very much and be careful i will notify my patrolling officers" 2) 99% of the time no police show up to harass me,however i sometimes do notice them driving by
    3) when they do show up no 12031 e-check instead alot of questions regarding OC from police who them self are not to educated on the movement 4)very surprised on the great amount of police officers are pro 2A and are very supportive (i assume they know when the SHTF its a good feeling that they will not be alone if patriots are armed on the streets they patrol willing to help if needed) and there are so many people complaining against the police for minor bull-**** reasons or maybe even for legit reasons and the bottom line in SE Los Angeles unlike richer communities in Los Angeles the criminals and gangs are winning the battle and these police are seeing the worse of the worse on a daily basis and to finally see people in theses communities saying enough is enough and show up in numbers we are actually showing support for these brave men and women as well as the local business owners and residents
as far as last weekends OC at the carnival in Huntington Park first i went and spoke to the guy in charge of the event he was a ex-marine during the conversation we were approached by to 2 LAC sheriffs who actually were totally cool they were both 2A pro and very supportive after the conversation i was giving approval to set up a booth to hand out flyers right in the middle of the carnival and the fee was waived the following day 3 LAC sheriffs approached the booth and read some flyers and asked alot of questions and no 12031 e-check also very cool and supportive and i was informed if i needed anything they would be around. as far as schools >1000ft i asked the same question and was told i was ok the actual location were we were at was on the corner of Pacific/California St Matthias High School is closer to florence/state st over a mile away but being that there is so many schools in the area Church/Charter/private i wouldn't be surprise if we were within >1000 ft of some school but being that i let them know ahead of time everything was cool , it seems to me that if you are cool with them and not a dick-head they are cool with you in return
P.S these cities are gang infested and we were very careful actually only targeting families that we would give out pamphlets and answer questions for and believe it or not gang-members we just stared them down at the punks just kept on walking
these are the cities i have open carrying in so far South Gate,Huntington Park,Lynwood,Paramount,Compton,Watts,Bell, Bell Gardens,Downey,Norwalk, and SE los angeles all though i appreciate SBOC at least in my opinion we get more love from the police and residents in the above cities as i believe the need for OC is greater
and the Brady Campaign doesn't have the balls to show -up to protest or threatened the business owners in these cities as far as who we represent well "america" and i have noticed some infighting amongst pro-OC groups like im sure any groups have some disagreements i decided to just show up and invite whoever wants to be involved and you can stay completely anonymous and no membership required ,however if a membership is what you want i suggest SBOC they are very organized and have squared away leadership

LAopencarry I applaud you for your pro active work with LE.

My experiences are very similar, many LEO are pro 2A, they just need some help deprogramming the propoganda of the liberal left anti gun establishment.

A few arent but we cant get stuck trying to fix them before we convert the ones on the fence first.

Keep up the strong work, you have inspired me to try even harder in my town.

thank you for the love you are also invited and if you ever have a OC event/get together just let me know and im sure i will be able to make the trip to show support
and just keep this in mind when you encounter the haters 1)show respect and understanding even if there beliefs are way more different than yours and when you feel like cussing them out or maybe knocking them out remember this quote

Sounds like fun! The yelp reviews for this place are pretty good too. If I am not working, I will try to convince the wife to come with.

Hello, I am new to this forum, but I have been following the OC movement for sometime now. In fact, I am contemplating on finally joining the SO BAy OC group.

I have never attended an OC meet up before, If I am free, I am hoping to attend this event, and hopefully bring my wife, to convince her about supporting 2A OC.

Are there any meet ups in the San fernando Valley area
