    Robber runs from armed employee

    Self-defense in action. No shots fired - nobody died.

    An armed robber ran from a jewelry store after an employee pointed a gun at him, police said. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

    That's always a tough call. I can't see myself confronting an armed robber, unless I am doing so from a very secure defensive position.

    Once you cross the line to being reasonably in fear for your life or great bodily harm, it seems to me they forfeit any courtesy of a warning.
